Osama Bin There Done That

BANZAI7 NEWS--On the first anniversary of the demise of Lehman Brothers, Osama bin Laden, the al-Qaeda leader, has warned the American people over their government’s close ties with Wall Street in an apparently new audio tape posted on an Islamic Finance website on Monday.

“The time has come for you to liberate yourselves from fear, greed and the ideological terrorism of neo-conservatives and the Wall Street lobby,” Mr bin Laden’s latest tape said.

Mr. Bin Laden complains bitterly about his investments in structured notes issued by Lehman.

“The reason for our dispute with you is your support for Wall Street."

The message, titled “A statement to the American people”, was about 11 minutes long.

Its authenticity could not immediately be verified but the website is often used by supporters of al-Qaeda Asset Management.

Mr bin Laden said there had been no real change in US financial regulatory policy because Barack Obama, president, had retained Timothy Geithner, Treasury secretary, and others from the administration of George W. Bush.
